Annual disbursement of two monetary awards of $250, one award per award winner.
Description of Award
The award is established by the Graduate and Professional Student Federation (GPSF) to recognize graduate and professional students at UNC-Chapel Hill who exemplify excellence in mentoring other graduate and professional students.
Description of Qualifying Mentorship Activities
Mentorship occurs in a multitude of realms on the UNC-CH campus, facilitated by the diverse roles and responsibilities undertaken by graduate and professional students. Areas of mentorship include but are not limited to teaching, research, professional development or academic success.
Both mentor and mentee(s) must be enrolled as graduate or professional students, in any department or discipline of study, at UNC-CH. The mentor-mentee relationship must have been established for a minimum of one semester. The nominated mentor must also be in good academic standing with the University.
