The purpose of the Honor System is to preserve the responsible exercise of freedom, maintain Carolina’s rigorous standards, educate all community members about citizenship, honor, and integrity, and protect the integrity of the University community. UNC is one of the few schools that runs a student-led honor system and it has become a key part of our legacy. Students have the right to be represented by their peers, so it is up to us, as part of the graduate community, to determine how these counsels and panels will look. In order to create a System that truly reflects UNC’s diverse graduate student population, we would like to encourage students from all programs and background to apply to become a Court Member or Attorney General Staff.
